Honor 200 Review : Triple 50MP Camera Phone

The Honor 200 was launched on 20th July 2024. It’s a midrange camera smartphone. The company has mostly focused on the camera, as the Honor 200 features a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP wide lens, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP selfie camera on the front. The company has also included many features in the phone, so let’s find out through this blog.

Honor 200 Design and Display

The Honor 200’s design is good, with curved edges, a quad-curved display so the mobile is comfortable to hold, and an egg-shaped camera module, which looks weird in my opinion. The phone has a glass back and plastic frame. It weighs 187 g, which somehow makes it a light-weight smartphone too, and it is only IP65 water and dust resistant, which is not as good as IP68, and the honor has not disclosed which glass protection has been used on the front and back.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Review An Affordable Edge 50?

The phone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1200 x 2664 pixels resolution, HDR video playback support, a peak brightness of 4000 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate. So the display is overall good, as it adjusts colors quite well, and with 4000 nits of peak brightness, it can get bright and perfectly visible outdoors. The display dims at just 1 nit, which is quite low, and you can also watch HDR10+ content on OTT apps. So the overall colors are pleasing and accurate.

Honor 200 Camera

Now coming on the camera, as I already mentioned, the company has mostly focused on the cameras, as the Honor 200 features a triple rear camera module, a 50MP Sony IMX902 main lens with PDAF and OIS support, a 50MP telephoto lens with PDAF, OIS support, and 2.5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens with autofocus. Overall, the camera took quite impressive pictures with clarity and detailing. The telephoto lens also performs well, especially outdoors, and the micro shots are impressive too.

Samsung Galaxy M35 Review

Portraits of the Honor 200 camera are quite impressive. It manages skin tones and colors to capture accurate, detailed pictures. It also takes good, detailed pictures in zoom mode. The Honor 200 takes excellent pictures in low light, too. And the selfie camera takes decent selfies with clarity and is vibrant in the daytime. On the videography side, you can record videos up to 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 30 fps with gyro-EIS and OIS support.

Honor 200 Performance and OS

The Honor 200 features a Qualcomm SM7550-AB Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Adreno 720 GPU coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 Storage. In terms of Geekbench score, the Honor 200 scored 1167 in single-core performance, which is more than the Vivo V40 and Motorola Edge 50 Pro, and scored 3360 in multi-core performance, which is also more than the Vivo V40 and Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Ultra Watch Review

However, the performance of the Honor 200 is better as compared to other smartphones that come in the same price range. You can easily play most popular games like PUBG and COD on high graphical settings, and on average, it delivers 50fps and 30fps in both games, and you can do multitasking on the phone too without any stutters and glitches. The phone gets slightly hotter when watching videos or playing games.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro: Price and features

The phone runs on MagicOS 8, which is based on Android 14. The MagicOS is a little bit different from other Android phones. The software is stable because there are no bugs, no ads, etc., and Honor has also added a few AI features that are not too interesting. However, the company offers 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches.

Honor 200 Battery

The phone comes with a Si/C 5200mAh battery capacity with 100W wired charging support. The battery gives up to 10-11 hours of screen time, which is less than from Vivo v40 and Motorola Edge 50 Pro. However, the company offers 100W charging support, which charges 0-100% in just 40 minutes.

Honor 200 Price

The Honor 200 base 8GB/256GB of storage variant is priced at₹34,999, and the 12GB/256GB of storage variant is priced at₹39,999, and the phone is available on e-commerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart, as well as other offline partner stores.

Verdict

Overall, the Honor 200 has a good-looking design, a good display that performs well in all tasks, and a good camera that catches more customers to it and also performs well in outdoor and indoors, and the battery backup is good too. One more thing: the charger is not included inside the box. You have to buy the charger separately, which costs Rs 2,999.
