According to reports, the certification from the China Quality Centre (a Chinese regulatory body) claims that the new 16 iPhone models support up to 45W wired charging through Type-C USB, and an X user, namely ShrimpApplePro, has tweeted that the devices were tested at 5-15V and current up to 3A, which means up to 45W peak charging speed.
Meanwhile, the Apple Company has mentioned on the official specification sheet that the new 16-series models support wireless charging. According to the company, from iPhone 16 to iPhone 16 Pro Max support MagSafe wireless charging with up to 25W along with a 30W adapter and also Qi2 wireless charging of up to 15W. The company also claimed that the charging with wireless support is faster than wired. However, according to the specifications, 50% of the battery charges in just 30 minutes with a 20W charging supply.
Whereas the previous iPhone 15 series could not charge at Max. 30W while the new 16 series can go up to 45W, which means it will get charged very quickly compared to the iPhone 15 series.
