Samsung has launched the Galaxy S24 FE recently with a large 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display. It offers a more affordable option, though it’s a bit pricey than previous fan edition models, but it has some upgrades over the previous model. One key difference is size, a bigger battery capacity, and some new AI features were added, so let’s try to give you the best review about the S24 FE.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Design and Display
The Galaxy S24 FE is bigger than the previous model, and it has the same display size as the Galaxy S24 Plus. This phone’s design attracts more people to it as it has solid construction. While the flat sides and rounded corners ensure viewing pleasure and a comfortable grip, this design looks similar to the Galaxy S24, and the camera module design looks the same as well. It has IP68 water and dust resistance, which means the phone can survive in 1.5 m of deep water for 30 minutes. Whereas the Galaxy S24 FE has a glossy finish, which makes it look more premium, and it offers vibrant colour options like blue, graphite, grey, mint, and yellow.
Samsung halts One UI 6.1.1 rollout for the Galaxy S23 Ultra
The Galaxy S24 FE has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and HDR10+ videoplayback support. The bezels are slightly smaller than the S23 Fe but not smaller than the S24 and S24 Plus, and the refresh goes down to 60 Hz, not 1 Hz, and we get Samsung’s Vision Booster, which is brighter compared to the S23 FE, and it got a peak brightness of 1900 nits whereas the S23 FE has 1450 nits. The resolution has been scaled back compared to S24 Plus to just full HD, so visuals are not satisfying and sharp. Thanks to HDR10+ Support with this, you get lovely, eye-pleasing contrast, and it’s bright enough even if you are watching the content outdoors on a sunny day.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Processor and Software
The Galaxy S24 FE is powered by an Exynos 2200 (4 nm) chipset coupled with an Xclipse 920 GPU and has 8 gigs of lovely RAM, so overall the everyday performance is absolutely buttery smooth, like scrolling Instagram, watching videos on YouTube, and using high-end apps, and the gaming performance is also good, as we played games on high graphics settings, and the fps rate remains stable even after continuously playing games for hours. Meanwhile, the phone gets warm while gaming, and it has been packed with a slightly bigger vapour chamber so the phone does not get hotter.
The Galaxy S24 FE runs on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. Samsung has stuffed this with all of its own apps, and there are lots of apps that you don’t really need. Meanwhile, it has packed with some excellent AI features like live translation, like interpreter mode, and circle to search.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Camera
The Samsung S24 fe features a similar triple rear camera setup to the regular Galaxy S24 phones, but in this phone there are a few improvements, while it targets those users who want a camera phone with an affordable price. It features a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP telephoto lens, and a 12 MP ultrawide lens.
The 50MP main camera captures sharp and detailed pictures, especially in well-lit areas. It produces vibrant and vivid photos. In low light, it takes decent pictures, and thanks to the night mode tool, which helps to brighten the images and reduce noise. The camera produces good dynamic range, and it balances both shadows and highlights very well.
The 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom lens allows to capture close-up pictures with a bit of quality loss. At higher zoom levels, the image quality is not good. It produces nice subject separation with bokeh effects in portrait mode.
The 12MP ultrawide lens provides a wide field of view, while the distortion is normal and the image quality is slightly lower in low light compared to the main lens. However, it can record video up to 4K at 60 fps with both front and rear. So overall it has impressive quality and effective stabilisation.
The 10MP selfie camera captures decent selfies with natural skin tones, and the subject separation is well and edge detection is missing. The low-light selfies are slightly grainy.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Battery
The Galaxy S24 FE is packed with a 4700mAh battery capacity, which is smaller than the 4900mAh which you get in the S24 Plus and is larger than the Galaxy S23 FE battery capacity, which has 4500mAh. The battery life is a little bit better than other models of the Samsung 24 series, as on average it delivers 5-6 hours of screen time for general use. You get a 25W wired charging support, and it takes up to an hour and 13 minutes to full charge.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Price
The Galaxy S24 FE base variant of storage 8GB/128GB is priced at ₹59999, and the 8GB/256GB storage variant is priced at 65999. The phone’s preorders will begin on October 3, and it will be available on Samsung’s official website.

Verdict
The S24 FE is all about AI features, good battery life, and having a bigger screen. On the performance side, it performs well in daily tasks and gives smooth performance as well in gaming, while the design looks similar to the S24. Overall, the S24 FE is a good phone for those who want a phone with good AI features and a bigger Samsung screen phone. However, you can also get some other smartphone options in this price range.
