Good news WhatsApp is going to introduce a new feature in the coming time. This feature will allow users to mention others on their status. Meanwhile, the feature is said to be private, which means the uploader and the user who has been mentioned will be able to see it, and other status viewers can’t see the mentioned person. However, this feature is similar to the Instagram stories where the mentioned user will get the notification when you mention them in your WhatsApp status.
In a post by the WhatsApp feature tracker, the feature has already been spotted in the WhatsApp beta v2.24.20.3. The Google Beta Program user is currently unable to test the feature because it is not visible right now.

One more interesting thing is that if you mention the user who has been excluded from viewing your status in the privacy is also able to see your status. However, WhatsApp has not confirmed yet when they will release it, but if you want to use it early, then you can join the WhatsApp beta program.
